Glass Vacuum Lifter Inspections
Annual and major inspections carried out across Australia
Glass vacuum lifters require a minimum of an annual inspection under Australian standards. Depending on the brand and usage frequency, a major inspection is also required. Lincer carries out both inspection types for all brands, issuing certificates upon completion so your equipment is fully documented and ready to return to service.
What the annual inspection covers
As a minimum requirement under Australian standards, a glass vacuum lifter must have an annual inspection completed by a competent person. This covers the full vacuum circuit, suction pads, electrical system, battery health, safety valve function, structural integrity, and load and function testing to confirm the safe working load. Lincer issues a certificate of inspection upon completion. The annual inspection applies to all glass vacuum lifter brands and models we service.
Major Inspection
In addition to the annual inspection, a major inspection is required at the manufacturer's specified interval — typically based on years in service or operating hours. It goes beyond the annual inspection to include a detailed examination of internal components, wear parts, load-bearing structures, and safety systems. To allow a full assessment, Lincer disassembles key components and coordinates third-party NDT testing. Lincer manages the entire process and issues a certificate upon completion.
Glass Vacuum Lifter Repair & Crack Testing Services
We manage the full compliance process
Crack Testing
Lincer acts as the mediator for crack testing on glass vacuum lifters. To carry out the non-destructive testing procedure, we book a specialised external crack testing team who attends our Thomastown workshop directly. Crack testing inspects the structural components of the lifter for fractures, stress cracks, and fatigue damage that are not visible during a standard inspection. Because Lincer manages all coordination, the process is handled efficiently with minimal disruption to you.
Repairs
Whether the issue is mechanical, electrical, or related to the vacuum system — suction pads, pump, vacuum circuit, safety valves, or structural components — Lincer diagnoses the root cause and carries out the required repair work across all brands and models. To confirm vacuum integrity and load-bearing capacity after any repair that affects these systems, Lincer performs a load test before returning the equipment to service.
